A FEW WORDS FROM CECILIA
Hi! I am Cecilia. I enjoy helping others in time of need and help them to empower themselves. My style is friendly, laidback, and enthusiastic. I focus on the strengths and resources of my clients and the things they are already doing well. I believe that people have the power to heal and grow despite the changes and challenges that life gives them. For this very reason I respect all who come for a little of extra help to take their power back.
I specialize in counseling children, adults, and couples. I have helped many individuals as they navigate different challenges such as sexual abuse and trauma. I also work with those suffering with depression, anxiety, stress, anger, grief, and addiction to pornography. I am trained in a method called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and use it to help those who are struggling with traumatic memories and/or PTSD live a full life and leave their past behind. I am also trained in the Gottman method to help couples. But most of all, I use a client-centered approach, which is based on what will be most beneficial to each individual.
I also have two teenage boys at home and I have experienced the death of my beloved husband, Anthony. I combine many personal and professional experiences to help you get the most out of every session. I would love an opportunity to talk with you and to support you as you go through life’s adventures. Thank you for your time!
