Immigration evaluations provide support for this waiver which is usually requested by spouses or parents who are citizens or residents. This is to demonstrate the extreme difficulty that the evaluated person could suffer if he/she had to be separated from the relative or if he/she had to relocate to the country of the immigrant.
This is used when a lawful permanent resident or an immigrant are facing deportation. The relatives who are evaluated are in some cases the U.S. citizen children, but it can also include the spouse or parents. The immigrant in this case is going through immigration court.
This visa is for immigrants who have been the victim of a crime such as assault or rape. As a result of the crime the victim has suffered considerable physical or mental abuse. The victim cooperates with the authorities to solve the crime.
This benefit is for people who have suffered abuse in their marriage or family. The abuse can be physical, emotional, or sexual, and the person has suffered greatly as a result.
Political asylum seekers have been exposed to deprivation, abuse, and even extreme torture. Abuse may include political, religious, or ethnic persecution, making the person flee.
For this benefit, the person evaluated is a member of the U.S. Armed Forces. or from the Selected/Ready Reserve and serves to help the family member who is undocumented.
This is a special visa for survivors of severe human trafficking such as sexual or labor exploitation. Human trafficking is a modern form of slavery with force, fraud, and/or abuse.
